We Need To Learn The Thai Language

We Need To Learn The Thai Language
We need to learn the Thai language so that our work here in Thailand can continue to flourish. Having the ability to engage in spontaneous conversations without relying on a translator will open many new doors for evangelism. This will allow us to build deeper relationships and share the love of Jesus more effectively in everyday interactions.

Support Our Ministry: Help Us Learn the Language

Support Our Ministry: Help Us Learn the Language

Would You Consider Helping Us -- Here's Why

(1) Through Language Learning, it will allow us to communicate naturally, fostering deeper relationships and trust within the community, without the limitations of translation. (2) More Evangelistic Opportunities, speaking Thai will open doors for spontaneous conversations and gospel-sharing moments.> (3) Strengthening Long-term Ministry, investing in the local language equips us to serve more effectively and sustainably, showing our commitment to building a lasting ministry in Thailand.

What & Where Is This 10/40 Window

What & Where Is This 10/40 Window
Mike & Daysi Serve Within The 10/40 Window
Daysi and I are serving as missionaries in Thailand, which lies within the “10/40 Window” a region stretching from North Africa to Asia, home to the largest population of people who have never heard the gospel. This area is marked by cultural, political, and religious barriers to Christianity, making it one of the most spiritually underserved parts of the world. Here in Thailand, sharing the love of Jesus requires patience and trust, as most people are unfamiliar with the message of Christ, and evangelism is met with hesitation.

Want To Be Inspired? ---- READ THIS
Mike and Daysi were completely sold out to God's call to missions, selling everything, and I mean "everything" their house, furnishings, and even the smallest belongings. They resigned from their well paying jobs and, with butterflies in their stomachs, took a leap of faith, diving headfirst into the unknown and never looking back. Now serving as missionaries in Thailand, they have countless stories, powerful, faith-filled experiences that will encourage, uplift, and inspire you to step out in faith, no matter how scary it feels. Time and again, they’ve witnessed God’s hand of provision, with needs being met precisely when needed. Want to hear more about their journey? A Message From Mike & Daysi Mady - 2024

A Message From Mike & Daysi Mady - 2024
Well, it’s been over a year here in Thailand, and if you don’t know us yet, we are Mike and Daysi Mady, a Canadian couple, commissioned to serve in Thailand, by New Song Church in Windsor, Ontario. Our home church is under the umbrella of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. (PAOC) This is actually our second time here—our first was about 14 years ago. Just like the first time, God has been amazing. We’ve seen incredible things happening in and through us, in our team, and through our ministry here at Goshen Café, which is part of the House of Grace Ministry here in Thailand. We continue to witness transformed lives and hearts, which is nothing short of a miracle, and we thank God for that. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be here and to do what God called us to do. We are here because of our desire to follow that calling and also because for our supporters, who continue to commit to give financially and for those who pray for us on a regular basis. Daysi and I are very thankful, and we know there’s much more to do. We feel strongly that God has called us to serve here long-term. Looking ahead to 2025, our focus will be on Thai language learning. This is a crucial next step for our ministry here.Since we believe God has called us to stay here long-term. Our plan is to start learning Thai in Bangkok, which is about 600 kilometers from where we currently live. This means we’ll need to live in Bangkok for six to nine months, with a target start date of January or February 2025. Our goal is to speak, read, and write Thai fluently, so that we can continue serving effectively. Recently in Bangkok, we’ve already made connections with a few other ministries and are considering working with more, but we’ll provide updates on that as things progress. Our time in Bangkok will be a mix of studying and ministry. As Daysi says, language learning is ministry / which is awesome! That’s it for our update for now. We’ll be posting more updates here on our website, so if you want to stay informed about what’s happening with us in Thailand, keep checking back. Thank you for your continued support and prayers! In His Love Mike & Daysi Mady mikemady@gmail.com

Looking For My Friend - Unexpected News

This is Muean. I took these photos 13 years ago.

Here's our story: Thirteen years ago, during my time in Thailand, I had the pleasure of meeting Muean, who would later become a dear friend. He served as our reliable Tuk Tuk driver, always there when Daysi and I needed transportation. On one occasion, a driver with mirrored sunglasses and an unyielding expression caught my attention; his demeanor seemed stern and unwelcoming. Against all odds, I proposed, "Let's go with him," and thus Muean became our go-to driver, ferrying us to our destinations. Our dependence on his service deepened, leading us to exchange contact information for smoother coordination. A connection blossomed, eventually prompting us to extend an invitation to him at our home. I recall a day of tumultuous rain and lightning, where Muean intended to drop us off and leave. However, I insisted he stay at our house until the storm subsided. Despite language barriers, a bond grew. To distract him from his fear of the storm, I tried to redirect his focus. The limited communication didn't hinder the bond we formed. Muean's invitation to his home marked the first significant sign of trust. After residing in that area for about eight months, life's currents shifted, and we found ourselves relocating to a different Thai province, leaving behind our cherished connection with Muean. As time passed, our memories of him remained, often coming up in conversations. Fast-forward to the present, 13 years later, we returned to the very spot where our friendship began. Anxious to reconnect, we questioned the current Tuk Tuk drivers about Muean's whereabouts, sharing a photo I had taken all those years ago. Regrettably, the drivers delivered heartbreaking news—Muean had passed away in April 2023. The news struck me profoundly, catching me off guard with its unexpected sorrow. Refusing to leave things unresolved, Daysi and I embarked on a quest to find Muean's family home. With the help of the Tuk Tuk drivers, we located the address and hired a ride to get there. Upon arrival, we met Muean's wife, who didn't recognize us initially. However, the photos from 13 years ago that I still had in my possession brought back memories, and her joy was palpable. Expressing the emotions I felt in that moment is difficult, as I had anticipated reuniting with my friend with immense joy, only to confront the reality of his passing. Rest in peace, my friend. You taught me not to judge based on appearances, as your kind heart transcended the surface. I'm grateful for the brief yet meaningful time we spent together.
